»¨¼¾´«Ã½ tech guide for students – This tech guide provides instructions on getting started with technology at Suffolk and includes where to go for help.

This portal allows students and staff to launch applications such as Brightspace, My»¨¼¾´«Ã½, Office 365, Zoom, DegreeWorks, »¨¼¾´«Ã½Help, and more, from one spot. Once logged in, you will be prompted to set up multi-factor authentication. For instructions on how to set up multi-factor authentication, please log in to , go to Quick Links, and click on "SUNY »¨¼¾´«Ã½Login Portal Instructions." 

The following are applications that are found on the SUNY »¨¼¾´«Ã½Login Portal:

In My»¨¼¾´«Ã½, students can access their student dashboard, financial aid information, billing information, and more. 

This is the learning management system the school uses for instructors to provide their course materials online. Students new to Brightspace should go through the training course, . Enrolled students can find this training course in their course list in Brightspace. 

Microsoft Office 365

»¨¼¾´«Ã½students can get Microsoft Office 365 for free by using their My»¨¼¾´«Ã½ email account. Students may install Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and more, on up to 5 devices (Windows or Mac)! It also includes 1TB of OneDrive storage.

Academic Computing Centers

The Academic Computing Centers (ACC) provide academic technology support for students to complete their coursework and first level support to faculty teaching in classrooms. Professional staff are available to assist students and faculty using our college’s academic technology. The ACCs are located within the libraries at each of the three campuses and provide access to computers, printers, and scanners for all students with a valid ID card. The PCs and Mac computers in the centers provide internet access, necessary curriculum software, and the technological means to accommodate and complete all class-related assignments. Library

The libraries at »¨¼¾´«Ã½ offer services and resources for students enrolled in online courses with full borrowing privileges and full access to online resources.

The library provides the following to all »¨¼¾´«Ã½students including those enrolled in online courses:

  • Borrowing privileges at all three campus libraries
  • Interlibrary and intercampus loan
  • Online access to databases, journals, newspapers, streaming media, and ebooks
  • Access to online library assistance via email and live chat
  • Access to online library tutorials and research guides
  • Open access at all SUNY libraries
